Strategic Business Insights
·
Deliver operational planning to a
wide range of areas like marketing, product development, customer support and
budgeting.
·
Co-lead the execution with the
relevant teams.
·
Monitor
market and competition,
ensuring that each function within the team is tweaking plans and optimizing
their approach appropriately to reflect shifting industry dynamics and /or
regional learnings and experiences.
·
Support the Country Manager in strategic
planning, performance analysis and conduct analysis to draw strategic insights.
·
Support the Country Manager on
P&L administration and budget management.
·
Always take a data-driven approach to
problem-solving and decision making.
·
Strong structuring and analytical
skills combined with a hands-on attitude.
·
Provide knowledge-sharing and
relevant business, on-the-job training to other members of the team.
·
Maintain professional internal and
external relationships that meet company core values.
Partnerships
·
Build key local partner
relationships, identify collaboration opportunities to achieve business goals,
negotiate and close key business deals while maintaining extensive knowledge of
current market conditions.
·
Once deals are signed, begin
execution and follow-through to conclusion.
·
Continuously measure performance of
partner deals and prioritize high-impact engagements.
·
Continue to deepen relationships with
external partners through creative, out-of-the-box solutions to achieve key
business goals in a cost-effective manner.
·
Support internal functions,
specifically marketing in crafting and negotiating commercial terms with
vendors and external partners.
·
Where relevant, attend industry
functions and conferences, representing the brand and collating market feedback.
Desired Skills and Experience
·
Master's Degree from a leading
university; MBA a plus
·
4-6 years experience in Internet
/Strategy Consulting /Investment Banking. Online classifieds experience a plus
·
Articulate, critical thinking,
excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
·
Strong analytical skills with
attention to detail and ability to translate market trends, user feedback and
data etc. into business insights
·
Humble, flexible personality with a
data-driven mind-set.
·
Capacity to manage a very dynamic
environment with a lot of entrepreneurial freedom and drive to define and take
actions to achieve business objectives.
·
Experience in running an operation
with cross-functional responsibilities in a fast moving industry.
·
Team player with proven people
management.
·
Strong knowledge of the local
Nigerian market and business landscape.
·
Gained work experience in
high-performance environments. Proven track record of personal, academic and
professional achievements in an international field.
·
Passionate about online and has deep
interest in developing businesses.
·
Open to frequent local/ international
travel.
