ABOUT OUR CLIENT 

Our client is an Offshore Vessel owner who has specialized in operating various energy related vessels world-wide. They own and operate a young fleet consisting of AHTS, PSV, AHTS, PSV, Barges, Cable Layers, Crew Boats, Emergency Vessels, Tugs, MPSV and Maintenance Support Vessels. The different vessels are operated in some of the world’s most difficult areas. They have been in business for more than 40 years and started in the Middle East and are growing!

Desired Skills and Experience

THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT

Can and would relocate and live in Nigeria.

Comes with a seafaring background from the OSV industry as either Master Mariner, Chief Engineer or similar. Anyone with no experience from the OSV industry will not be considered for this position.

You could now be working as Operations Manager, Fleet Manager or Marine Manager for an Offshore Vessel owner.

Must have some technical knowledge of OSV’s.

Have experience in the following areas: 
·        Budget planning.
·        Management and team leading.
·        Vessel operations.
·        Offshore and Energy related policies.
·        Health and Safety. (HSE and HSEQ).
·        Business Development and meeting with clients.
·        Performance systems.
·        Staffing related issues.
Personality:
·        Strong ethics.
·        Honest.
·        Ambitious.
·        Wants to grow with this office and in this company.
·        Good behaviour and treats colleagues and the locals with respect.
·        Team player.
Anyone already located in Nigeria and working a similar role would have an advantage.

JOB DESCRIPTION
·        The successful candidate will be reporting to the Country Manager in Nigeria and the Global Operations Manager in UAE. The candidate will have the responsibility to run the day to day operations of the company’s fleet in that area.
·        Manage all the vessels charter contracts from on-hire to the point of off-hire. Ensure that commercial dept. is advised of down time days and other problems there might have been.
·        Ensuring that the companies’ procedure and policies have been followed in accordance with the ISM code and other standards.
·        HSE, crewing and other operational matters.
·        Development and training of both on board and shore based staff in coordination with the group HR.
·        Provide daily, weekly and monthly reports as requested by the management or the client.
·        Inspections on board the vessels in the area.
·        Liaison with the crewing department to ensure that sea staff are suitably qualified and experienced for the position they hold.
·        Personnel performance.
·        Catering contracts for the areas vessels are made and benchmarked.
·        Checking Masters accounts.
·        Checking up on deck equipment and ensuring that all is up to company standard.
·        Insurance claims.
·        Ensuring that all clients are visited on a regular basis and the company is well represented in the energy and marine community.
REMUNERATION PACKAGE
·        The job is based on the 90 days on / 30 days off rotation.
·        Nett salary + 20% because this is Nigeria.
·        Annual bonus – Company and personal performance based.
·        Free condo in a new and safe compound. They are looking to move and upgrade the staff condos.
·        Full group medical for self. For wife can be considered, but not whole family. Negotiable.
·        Life insurance.
·        Rotation air ticket to home country for one person every 90 days.
