Job description
The Cloud & Smarter Infrastructure (C&SI) Technical Sales Specialist will be required to have a broad range of skills ranging from effective communications to technical experience with service management principles around distributed computing platforms. The Specialist will be responsible for analyzing customer needs and be able to describe a cross portfolio IBM software solution that will benefit the customer. The job requires an individual who can work well with other IBM team members as well as clients and take technical ownership for client technical deliverables and articulate the value proposition in a business context.

Specific Responsibilities include:

• Articulating technical benefits of IBM Cloud and Smarter Infrastructure (C&SI’s) portfolio products, solutions, and services to all levels in customer's organization
Primary knowledge in Distributed Data Center Management, Cloud Computing and Endpoint Mobility Management Solutions
Secondary knowledge in Storage and Smarter Physical Infrastructure Management Solutions
• Identifying client’s business and technical requirements
• Supporting sales in developing technical strategy for the engagement with the client
• Developing and delivering effective Senior Management presentations, whiteboards, and demonstrations
• Facilitating and delivering customer demonstrations on products and solutions
• Assisting with Request for Proposal (RFP), Request for Information (RFI), and other technical questionnaires
• Attending trade shows, sales calls, seminars, events, etc., as the technical expert of C&SI solutions and prototyping activities
• Building and maintaining relationships with key decisions makers and influencers on the client side.


Required
·        Bachelor's Degree
·        At least 3 years experience in Software Technical Sales
·        At least 3 years experience in Technical experience with IBM C&SI software and/or similar/competitive non-IBM software
·        At least 3 years experience in Information Technology Infrastructure Library, Project Management,  Solution Design Methodologies
·        At least 3 years experience in Overall IT Service Management skills
·        English: Fluent

Preferred
·        At least 4 years experience in Software Technical Sales
·        At least 4 years experience in Technical experience with IBM C&SI software and/or similar/competitive non-IBM software
·        At least 4 years experience in Information Technology Infrastructure Library, Project Management,  Solution Design Methodologies
·        At least 4 years experience in Overall IT Service Management skills
