Job description

The Data Center Delivery Architect will:
1. Take responsibility to lead a client discussion regarding Business use of the IT to be positioned into the Data Center;
2. Understand the impacts of these business applications on the IT
3. Define the Facilities requirements for the IT Systems Availability defined by the business;
• Have a high level perspective of the Managed End Points systems within the facility and be able to isolate/segregate the systems while incorporating their linkages in a holistic, reliable facility;
• Be able to read MEP drawings, and understand the implications of the single line systems portrayed;
• Be able to lead with confidence the engineering team assigned to develop the detailed design engineered drawings and specifications;
• Understand the general procurement and construction administration aspects of constructing a new data center;
• Understanding the concepts around the software defined data center - as it related to physical implementations.
• Have a good command of English, and be able to write consulting reports, business analysis reports and financial packages;
• Execute within a Project under the direction of the IBM Project Manager, but be able to guide the IBM PM in the disciplines of the construction aspects of a DC Project;
• Support procurement and legal when requested;

Profile 

• Handle all technical aspects of a variety of small, medium and large data center projects; 
• Support evaluation effort and needs for design and construction team;
• Provide design and other technical analysis for data center construction procedures and disciplines;
• Supervise field explorations, provide design and construction monitoring and oversight;
• Manage multiple projects while providing technical contributions to multi-discipline teams to bring innovative solutions to civil, electrical, mechanical, fire safety, physical security and cabling problems;
• Monitor the scope, schedules, and budget of projects and interface with other disciplines as required;
• Possess good communication and interpersonal skills with clients, engineering teams and contractors.

• Civil and building works;
• Electrical; Formal Electrical engineering background a bonus; basic understanding required.

• Minimum of 5 years experience in data center engineering or construction

·         Bachelor's Degree
·         At least 5 years experience in people management and mentoring
·         At least 5 years experience in calling the C-Level meetings
·         English: Fluent

Preferred
·         Master's Degree in Social Sciences
·         At least 7 years experience in people management and mentoring
·         At least 7 years experience in calling the C-Level meetings
