About this job
Job description
The
successful candidate will be responsible for the following activities as listed
below:
·
Overall responsibility for the
successful operation of all community facilities, personnel, operating
expenses, maintenance standardization, and external contractors.
·
Develop standard maintenance
procedures and SOP’s, make recommendations in all company procedures involving
facilities and ensure regulatory compliance at all times.
·
Oversight of the activities of security
operatives and ensuring the maintenance of a safe environment for all residents
of the community;
·
Effective oversight of the
maintenance of all machinery and equipment within the community, conducting
routing safety inspections and minor repairs to ensure zero downtime of
services.
·
Coordinate all operations staff to
ensure the provision of an aesthetically pleasant, functional and safe
operating environment.
·
Maintains a strategic overview of the
development and maintenance of the community by conducting periodic research,
develops proposals on various new initiatives to improve facilities,
maintenance, and programs.
·
Perform regular evaluations of
existing risk controls and coordinate safety and emergency preparedness
procedures based on risk factors identified
·
Maintain and enforce constant
awareness of the safety and cleanliness of all facilities
·
Recruit, hire, schedule, train,
supervise, and evaluate maintenance technicians.
Desired Skills and Experience
·
Minimum of 17 years of experience in
facility management with at least 5 of that FM experience in an outsourced FM
firm.
·
Excellent project management
experience with previous experience working with multi-disciplinary teams
·
Excellent computer skills, including
MS-Excel, Project and PowerPoint
·
Must be a good listener, proactive,
collaborative problem-solver, self-motivated and a team-oriented individual.
Non-negotiable
attributes:
·
The ideal candidates have a
successful track record in facility management and client relationship
management
·
Adequate knowledge of water,
plumbing, power, CCTV security systems, Pool systems, grounds maintenance etc.
·
Ability to adapt to changing demands
and priorities
·
Strong analytical skills in
evaluating situations
·
Ability to receive, comprehend and
communicate information and ideas clearly
·
MUST POSSESS AND DEMONSTRATE A SENSE
OF ACCOUNTABILITY FOR RESULTS

- a reputable organization - is seeking experienced facility managers to manage
the operations of an existing gated community. The ideal candidate will have overall
responsibility for the management of all affairs of the community – which
currently has about 70 residents and is growing to accommodate over 250
residents - including but not limited to operational controls, security
management, client relationship management, and outsourced contractors
management and community residents levy administration. THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
