Job Summary
·
Implement EMTS’s performance
management system and the administration of EMTS’s performance management
programs organisation-wide, ensuring consistent application and
transparency.
·
Contribute to the development
and implementation of best practice performance management policies and
processes to support the cultural embedding of a successful performance
management system within EMTS
Roles
& Responsibilities
Tactical
·
Provide input in
the development of EMTS’s performance management framework.
Operational
·
Implementation of the
organisation’s performance management framework and processes.
·
Coordinate the effective
implementation of the annual performance management plan/ calendar.
·
Proactively ensure the timely
initiation and conclusion of the performance review process.
·
Ensure timely initiation and
efficient execution of the performance management cycle/activities
organization-wide.
·
Supervise the activities of
the unit (in the absence of the Head) and ensure alignment with the overall
goals and objectives of the HR department, and the organisation as
a whole.
·
Conduct periodic needs-based
training on the performance management process for staff organisation-wide.
·
Proactively identify and
address staff appraisal issues and/or conflicts, including post-appraisal
appeals.
·
Monitor and follow up to
ensure timely implementation of appraisal review recommendations, especially
with regard to career and training issues.
·
Provide oversight in the maintenance
of accurate performance appraisal records and ensure regular update of
the performance management database.
·
Conduct data analysis to
determine current performance, forecasts and future performance trends in
order to recommend improvements and/or corrective actions.
·
Keep track of new thinking
(recent developments) in performance management and recognition
·
Prepare/compile agreed
periodic activity and performance reports for the attention of the Head,
Performance Management and Director.
·
Oversee staff verification for
all full time employees
·
Ensure verification of staff
records and the confirmation appraisal of new staff are conducted within
expected timelines
·
Work closely with teams to
ensure performance management activities are executed in line with expected
timelines
·
Provide advisory support to
business units on the performance management process and policies, and
help managers understand and more effectively carry out
their responsibilities for managing the performance of their team
members
·
Perform any other duties as
assigned by the Head, Performance Management
Desired Skills and Experience
·
First degree from a
recognised university.
·
Six(6) to Eight (8) years
relevant work experience with at least three (3) years in a supervisory
role.
