Reporting to the Executive Director, Institutional Banking, the successful candidate will be required to:

• Provide support to the bank's branches in meeting their resource requirements
• Spearhead the selection, negotiating and monitoring performance of the bank's vendors
• Have overall responsibility for acting as an interface between the branches and the Bank's Executive Committee as relates to their resource requirements
• Oversee  the expense budgets of the bank's branches and provide means and ways of reducing and monitoring costs without compromising on quality standards
• Ensure that financial targets are met by the branches by providing support in their resource requirement scoping and being actively involved in the  branch expansion process
• Ensure spending controls are in place.
• Ensure that the bank’s assets are safe-guarded by working closely with internal audit to ensure that appropriate levels of controls are in place and that any exposures are addressed.

Desired Skills and Experience

The candidate shall possess the following:

• Applicable professional qualification i.e. ICAN, ACA, ACCA or MBA or any further Business degree 
• At least 10 years post NYSC experience in a large corporate organisation. Prior experience in the Financial Services sector will be an added advantage
• Must have demonstrated experience in financial accounting, budget preparation and vendor management
• Critical to this position are strong interpersonal skills and effective communication both verbal and written
• Have a ‘Can Do’ attitude and strong leadership qualities exhibiting the Bank’s core values of Professionalism, Superior Service and Innovation
