Job description

Security Strategy
-
Develop acceptable strategy towards ensuring safety of Employees, Business
operations, Premises, Information, Network infrastructures and which is rooted
in a real understanding of the corporate aim, the operational plan, the context
and the available resources
·
Manage Security Dept
-
Enforce the implementation of approved Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and
security policies and procedures in each region’s area of responsibility
-
Develop and implement industry-standard quality control measures and department
KPIs
·
Personnel Security/ Protecting MTNN
Assets
-
Develop appropriate strategy to ensure safety of MTNN personnel on personal
security such as street crime, assault, robbery, kidnap, etc.
-
Ensure all incidents are investigated, reported and appropriate preventive
actions implemented.
-
Ensure triggers are in place to pre-warn MTNN of potential threats to its
business operations and employees.
-
Monitor and ensure security intelligence information are collated, analyzed and
applied towards ensuring the best of protection level for MTNN personnel and
operations in area of responsibility

Security Liaison/ Intelligence
-
Develop and maintain relationships and contacts with senior cadre of various
security agencies (Police, Military, SSS, etc) to gain relevant intelligence
information that will ensure better protection for MTNN personnel and
operations.

Foster the highest quality inter-departmental liaison.

Investigations
-
Coordinate a wide rage of investigations that are carried out each year on
wrongdoing by staff and criminal activities targeted at MTNN
-
Develop and implement appropriate investigation reporting template and incident
logs to ensure up-to-date database for loss incidents in MTNN.
·
Business Continuity
-
Advice on appropriate contingencies to ensure that MTNN business and its assets
are adequately secured and protected during and after emergencies.

Oversee all contracts between MTN security department and security service
providers to ensure they are entered-into in a timely and transparent manner,
on a secure legal footing, within budgetary constraints and in accordance with
MTN procedures and business aims

Budgeting
-
Plan for and manage departmental budget for a given financial year ensuring all
planned activities are executed
·
Risk & Threat Assessment
-
Develop and implement risk management strategy that maximizes personnel safety
from violence and the threat of violence
-
Ensure threat and vulnerability assessments are carried-out, at a periodic
interval, and appropriate remedial actions are advised, implemented and
sustained.

Crisis Management
-
Advice the business on robust, effective and cost efficient crisis management
strategies
Desired Skills and Experience
Experience:
12 years
experience including the following:
·
Managerial experience in a corporate
security environment.
·
Track record in high-level incident
and crisis management.
·
Senior command experience in security
(military, police, security service).
Training:
