About this job

Job description

·        Develop and implement the country level technical strategy and business plans in line with overall company strategy

·        Liaise with Sales and Marketing departments in seeking additional revenue opportunities and/or efficiencies by RF/Network Planning and Optimization measures 

·        Resolve escalating issues from the extended team with customers and local government bodies at technical levels

·        Support direct reports in the implementation of the technology roadmap, collocation, site build, rollout efforts with all operators

·        Ensure timely planning, budgeting and procurement for the required skills and infrastructure, tools, products, licenses, permits, materials etc.

·        Create a performance oriented ethos by leading, mentoring and developing team members

·        Ensure on going improvement of extended teams and their overall performance

Desired Skills and Experience

·        Technical, or Engineering related university degree 

·        Able to demonstrate proven project/program management skills with an industry respected qualification (eg. PMI, Prince 2)

·        Experience of working in sub Saharan Africa

·        Minimum of 10 years’ experience in the telecoms industry 

·        Minimum of 3 years of  technical leadership experience
