Role Summary/Purpose
The Turnkey Projects Leader provide the sales, commercial and project execution team with commercial and technical support for turnkey and EEP projects in Africa. His responsibility includes configuration selection and deal structuring, the qualification and selection of consortium partners, support to the commercial team during deal negotiation, and feedback from/to the OTR team during and after project implementation.
Essential Responsibilities
Pre-ITO support
• Early engagement for extended scope and project development, structuring and scope allocation
• Develop partners network … partner qualification
• Partner selection support for consortium projects.
• Extended Scope allocation for competitive positioning
• Support Corporate and GDSI for TK development
• Support Customer/Owner Engineers on GE Power Plant solutions
ITO proposal development – Post R1 transactions
• Consortium development and EPC partner coordination (DOR, Consortium Agreement, Should costs…)
• Cost/ Pricing discussion with EPC partner
• Turnkey schedule development
• Extended scope project risks mitigation
• Extended scope proposal
OTR feedback
• Lessons Learned from executed projects with EPC partner.
Qualifications/Requirements
• Engineering degree or equivalent from an accredited university
• 6+ years leadership experience in Marketing, Sales, ITO Operations, or equivalent associated with the energy industry, with successful track record and tangible results.
• Experienced team leader in a matrix and cross-functional environment
• Fluent in written & spoken English - must be robust yet culturally sensitive, able to challenge the status quo where required; fluent in
French or/and in Portuguese is an asset.
• Demonstrated evidence of impactful leadership in commercial transaction negotiations and order closures
• Excellent interpersonal communications, presentation and facilitation skills with ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
• Ability to effectively lead in a non-hierarchical, matrix management.
• Experience with customer specification review, proposal development and leading a sales effort.
• A valid NYSC discharge or exemption certificate will be required.
• Must have valid authorization to work full-time without any restriction in Nigeria
Desired Characteristics
• Knowledge of Thermal & Services Products and Risk review processes
• Prior experience and knowledge of energy/industrial products market economics, competitive issues, technology and projects
• Ability to manage and understand financial analysis, risk, tax and legal/contractual principles
• Ability to develop influential customer and partner relationships, plans, sales strategies, presentations, and proposals and strong executive presentation skills
• Ability to effectively lead a multi-functional team and operate in a matrix organization
• Understanding of GE's and customer financial drivers/needs
• Solid change management capability and real versatility at all times;
• First-class influencing skills and the ability to get support for ideas from a diverse group of individuals – integrative team working style;
• MBA degree or study
• Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification (GE Employees Only).
