Brief Posting Description

We are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Supervisor located at our site in Bonny Island. The successful candidate will provide the following duties

Responsible for overseeing the execution of civil maintenance operation in the field 

To ensure effective planning of maintenance works to guarantee standard of product quality and prepare schedules for maintenance team accordingly to the demands and job requirements 

To monitor and ensure compliance to safety & security standards during implementation of civil works through detailed review and checks on all procedures. 


To provide the status on the planned activities, assign the tasks that need to be performed to the staff to ensure timely completion of tasks as per the work orders. 

To monitor and control man-hours completed by the maintenance team. 

To manage the inventor of all relevant material whilst maintaining records and informing PEC section head to ensure timely replenishment. 

? Planning, organizing, assigning, directing, reviewing and supervising the work of assigned staff in the preventive, corrective maintenance and emergency repair of all NLNG owned civil assets. 

Oversees all civil maintenance activities to ensure quality, timeless and safety. 

Supervise the underwater inspection and maintenance works on behalf of NLNG and verify field inspection findings and measurements. 

Scheduling work to meet PEC?s long term maintenance objectives 

Plans, schedules, select or approve, and requisition necessary equipment and related supplies. 

Maintains inventory of necessary parts and equipment. 

Conducts inspection of civil assets as required. 

Maintains inspection and repair records

Job Requirements

Read and understand construction drawings, plans and specifications. 

Organize, implement and direct facility maintenance operations and activities. 

Construction and project management principles including planning and scheduling 

Operate office equipment including computers and supporting word processing and spread sheet applications. 

Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and writing. 

Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work. 

Principle of supervision, training, and performance evaluation. 

Equipment, tools and materials used in facility maintenance activities. 

Principles and practice of safety management. 

Ability to deliver under pressure. 

Five (5) years of broad experience in a position with responsibility in the maintenance of civil engineering facilities; two (2) years this must have included lead or supervisor responsibilities. 

Experience in supervising jetty and marine inspection or maintenance works would be an advantage. 

? Completion of a University degree in civil, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering 

Candidates should be a Nigerian national
