Job description
- Operations Analyst should ensure that plant KPIs and consequential cost are properly analyzed to support line Managers in Performance management.
- Performance Measurement & Analysis
- Analyse production cost by cost centre and support line Manager in budget monitoring and cost control
- Analyse inventory of finished and semi-finished products, and bulk materials including fuels.
3. Accounting
- Monitor cost allocation
- Participate to end-period closing tasks related to Plant
- Process provision to take into account risks of obsolescence of goods or assets, restoration of Plants and quarry level, environmental risks, etc. in order to obtain validation by relevant person(s).
Desired Skills and Experience
EDUCATION/QUALIFICATION/EXPERIENCE:
- HND/ B.Sc. in Accounting, Finance, Engineering or any Numerate Degree.
- Minimum of 3 years practical experience in related positions.
- Proven Numeric and Analytical Skills, Knowledge of Inventory Process
- Strong and proven skill in use ERP (JDE) and Microsoft Office.
- MBA and Membership of any related professional body is an added advantage.
COMPETENCIES/BEHAVIOURAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Supervisory and Communication skills.
- High level interpersonal skills both written and verbal.
- Ability to prioritize conflicting priorities and meet deadlines.
- Acts with integrity.
- Team work.
- Ability to analyze data and prepare financial/technical reports, statements and projections.
- Knowledge of budgeting cost control, finance and general business support processes including a sound knowledge of cement manufacturing process.
- Multitasking and ability to work extra hours as the job may require from time to time.
